News Release: Waterloo, ON: As we begin our second year as a national association, we have a lot to celebrate and a lot to look forward to. We have five new University Chapters at UofT, Dalhousie, Ryerson, Ottawa, and Simon Fraser and three new city-wide High School Chapters in the Greater Toronto Area, London and Montreal. With these new chapter, SOS will have 18 Students Offering Support (SOS) chapters nation-wide for the 2009-2010 school year. University of Toronto is one of the schools embarking on its 1st year with SOS. Carson McFadden, the founder and Chapter President of UofT SOS, is looking forward to launching SOS on his campus: "My motivation for getting involved stems from seeing the great work and enormous growth it had accomplished in its first few years. At UofT, we are looking at becoming a truly cross-faculty, cross-university club. I expect us to be the source students come to for assistance with their courses. Working with our high school and nearby university partners, I'm sure we can make SOS a successful and well-respected name in the Toronto area." Carson also hopes to raise enough money this year to fund an education-based development project for their first development project next summer. 2010 Targets: With tremendous passion, SOS student leaders across Canada are looking forward to reaching new heights this year to raise more marks, money, and roofs hoping to raise $200,000 for 6-10 community development projects in 2010. If you are interested in attending an Exam-AID review session, volunteering with SOS, or becoming a supporter, please visit us at http://www.studentsofferingsupport.ca. About Students Offering Support SOS: Students Offering Support is a national charitable organization that raises money to raise roofs through raising marks during our 'Exam-AID' review sessions.
